  than 100 years ago, increasing data inconsistences and quality issues alon
 g the way. As it started the Data Quality journey, the need for understandi
 ng and getting a handle on existing data quality issues became apparent. A 
 foundational framework was implemented to handle the existing issues as a p
 ivotal first step to move towards mature proactive management of data 
 quality. The framework provided a good understanding of the current state, 
 established a standardized and centralized enterprise mechanism while retai
 ning decentralized remediation. The framework adopted a business-focused ap
 proach while retaining I/S control over execution. It helped with transpare
 ncy, brought a cultural shift, and won support, which is a huge w
 in for the Enterprise Data Quality Program. It moved the needle!\nAttendees
  will learn about the practical approach, the framework adopted and can eas
 ily adapt it for their purposes.  The session will cover the framework
 , and how DMBOK was leveraged for the purposes. Attendees will gain an unde
 rstanding of the metrics and reports and how some of these measures can hel
 p with setting the data strategy and improving the maturity to move on to t
