taversity.net/sessionPop.cfm?confid=143&proposalid=12317\nA number of healt
h care institutions undertake institutional-level Data Integration and Anal
ytics Delivery initiatives. However, some of these initiatives take so long
to kick off that the business loses interest in their implementation
and looks for alternative short-term solutions for meeting their immediate
analytics needs. These short-term approaches are suboptimal. These suboptim
al solutions do not really integrate data for the institution and hence res
ult in inefficiencies introduced due to lack of coordinated effort, governa
nce, etc.\nOn the other hand, some of the institutional Data Integrati
on initiatives kick off on time but fail to integrate the data th
at brings the most value to the institution. As a result, though there is i
ntegrated data in the Integrated Data Platform, there is not enough busines
s pull-through and eventually, the platform loses its value.\nDuring my exp
erience working at premier health care institutions in the U.S., I&#39
;ve encountered both of these scenarios in varying degrees. Hence, thr
ough that experience, I have come up with an approach to identify, analyze,
strategize, and plan for the successful delivery of Analytics through the
implementation of an institutional-wide Integrated Data Platform. The
approach not only looks at the problem of timely integrated data and delive
ry but also best practices that can be widely adopted.\nDesign a
finite step approach for timely value-based Analytics delivery using t
he Integrated Data Platform:\n\n	Validate the Need\n
Identify Analytics for Automation and Delivery\n
Identify Business Sponsors\n	Prioritize and Build a Roadmap\n
Plan Delivery\n	Getting Started\n
Project Monitoring and Periodic Analytics Delivery\n\nThe presentation
also covers other items that need to be taken care of for successful deliv
ery of a data warehouse like:\n\n	Managing Customer Expectations\n
Team Alignment\n	Customer Engagement\n	Data Governance\n	Data Quality\n
Analytics Pull-Through\n\n
