NOTICE: Regarding Coronavirus – Updated September 17, 2020

To our Enterprise Data World community,

All of us at DATAVERSITY and DAMA International would like to thank you for your continued interest in our annual conferences. It has become clear that attendee safety concerns and travel and gathering restrictions will prevent us from holding Enterprise Data World (EDW). Instead, we will host a free EDW Virtual event on October 20-21, 2020. This live two-day event will cover a dozen different topics and sessions from the original program and give data-driven people like you an opportunity to hear from the industry experts you would expect to see at the face-to-face event.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we manage to navigate through these exceptional circumstances.

Thank you,

The DATAVERSITY Team

FAQ

Q. If I registered for the March EDW Conference in San Diego, did my registration automatically move to the Chicago event?

A. Not necessarily. All paid registrants who did not cancel before the San Diego EDW event was postponed on March 9th were given the option to transfer their full registration credit to any future DATAVERSITY conference within the next year or to an annual subscription to the DATAVERSITY Training Center

Your March EDW registration WAS NOT automatically transferred to the October event if…

  • You chose to use the credit towards the Annual Subscription in the DATAVERSITY Training Center
  • You replied to our offer and selected to take a credit to a “future event” (even if you have not decided on which event to attend)

But, if you’d like to change your previous selection, you can still do so. Please email registration@dataversity.net, and our staff will happily assist you.

Your March EDW registration WAS automatically transferred to the October event on May 1st, 2020, if…

  • You did not cancel your registration before we postponed the event on March 9th, AND you did not reply or select from the credit transfer options we offered you by the April 30th, 2020 cutoff deadline

But, if you’d like to change your previous selection, you can still do so. Please email registration@dataversity.net, and our staff will happily assist you.

UPDATED ON JULY 20, 2020: Since the EDW program has changed from our previous announcement, all currently registered EDW Chicago attendees will remain assigned to this canceled event until a future DATAVERSITY conference is selected by you. Your credit will remain valid and can be moved to any DATAVERSITY event from now until December 31st, 2023. Additionally, you should have received a follow-up email on July 20th, 2020, from CEO Tony Shaw, outlining some additional benefits you can select from at no charge. Please see our current cancellation policies here to determine if your EDW Chicago registration can be refunded.

Q. If I register and this event is canceled, will I get a refund?

A. You can find our standard cancellation policy here. We intend to follow those guidelines. If you applied a previous event credit to book this new registration, there are limitations outlined in this policy. Please contact us at registration@dataversity.net if you have additional questions.

Q. What happened to the Data Architecture Summit (DAS) program?

A. Due to this merger, the core DAS program is canceled.

Q. Will the October EDW event be different than the March event?

A. Yes. We initially thought we might be able to host a similar program, but due to continued attendee safety concerns and travel and gathering restrictions, we have had to CANCEL all in-person events until further notice. Please refer to the letter at the top of this page for additional details about these changes.
